Most of the time it's a good experience. This time not so much. The postal worker kept making the same mistake even after I repeatedly told him what was wrong.(4 times to be exact).Almost like it did'nt matter Even after I told him I was on a short break from work. Finally someone else stepped in and corrected the problem. It is my belief that he thought I was wrong and there was no way he was

This location is fine but USPS is ruining thousands of American small businesses by losing their parcels both domestically and internationally. If you know someone who can do something about this please contact them and file a report against USPS with your local Senator or House Rep. Items sent through the Chicago USPS ISC will be stuck there from 30 days to 6 Months. Politically speaking it's irrelevant who's fault it is and is only relevant to the extent that the problems is taken care of so that things can be fixed permanently.

Doesn’t keep advertised hours as in the case of Saturday Sept 10th, when the post office on 14th was closed early without any notification, and there is no customer service recourse.

The USPS keeps getting worse and worse. Since July 2022, I've had three boxes (delivered by USPS zip code 20009) full of valuables stolen or severely damaged . The first was in July... I had a medium size (16x12) broken into with a box cutter and as a result numerous items were stolen (pictures attached). Someone (I wonder who) took two strips of packing tape (useless of course) and tried to reattach the destroyed box. The box had $250 worth of insurance which turned out to be a waste because the postal service sets up the online claims process to fail, of course. The folks at the St. Louis claims office should all be fired. They did nothing to help and I didn't see a dime of the $250. On two other occasions, I've had two other boxes smashed (one in August 2022 and one in September 2022) which resulted in two expensive collectibles being damaged and rendered useless. Yes, postal employees are stretched thin, over worked and customer service takes a back seat. But this is beyond acceptable. The absolute horrifying thing is there is nothing that can be done to change the culture of the USPS. I never had problems with the USPS until moving to DC. One thing is for sure... I will definitely use FedEx or UPS to mail boxes from now on & I don't care how much it costs. Furthermore, USPS priority mail is a joke. The prices have nearly doubled and the size of the boxes are laughable and too flimsy to contain anything of value. Enter a USPS office at your own risk! If I could rate a ZERO then I would!

You almost certinly have to go to the Brentwood post office to get it. It has to come ups or FedEx for someone to come to your door and knock.

they will hold it at post office up to 18 days I read

On the USPS wbesite, it says the self service hours are 24 hours. Is this correct?

I disagree... The14th street post office is closed and locked after hours. Homeless people are also usually blocking the door. Go to Brentwood they have self service 24/7. Maybe Union Station too but I can't remember for sure.
