The wine was ok. Absolutely no customer service. You order from your phone, you pay from your phone. The only interaction with staff was when she dropped off our tasting kits. Such a disappointment

I would give negative stars if I could. They were at ChesterFest today. They were only selling by the glass and bottle. Ok, cool. I asked if I could try a tiny taste of the one red wine they brought so I could decide if I wanted to purchase a bottle (or bottles). I was told NO by the owner! She said it’s not economical and that VA wines are expensive. Mind you - I wasn’t asking for a full-pour “tasting” and I wasn’t asking to taste each of the wines they brought. I prefer dry reds which is why I was requesting a tiny sip to see if I liked the red they brought since it was described as semi-sweet. ALSO, keep in mind they had open bottles of each wine they brought since they were also selling by the glass. So they lost a potential sale, as well as lost a customer because I certainly will never visit the winery if this is how they treat people. How much would it have set them back to pour a drop? Oh well. Their loss.

They do ship wine within the state. There is an online store on the website and cost varies by what you buy.

No, we will not be open. We do, however, have an Artisan Market here on Black Friday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm ad open till 5:00 pm!

Yes! We do have handicap parking close to the building, with a pathway leading into the restaurant.
Unfortunately there is no dock access for the vineyard.

Upper Shirley does offer gift cards! They are available in any denomination you wish and they never expire. You can purchase them through the tasting room--either in person or by phone (they will be mailed to you if you choose to call).
They have a boat dock but its private, plus its a very long walk to the resturant , you could call and ask for permission to use the dock , super nice people allways eager to please
There is a dock but I believe it's privately owned.
I called and asked about this a year or so ago and at the time they did not allow dogs on the premises
