I am not from the local area, so I did not know what to expect. I took my friend who visited from AZ to eat here and she got very very ill from the food. Then the waitress told us the wrong price and we were overcharged. The place was dirty and unkept and everyone kept staring at us like we were aliens, which we felt like. Now when I drive by I think, no don't go there you will get sick. Good for locals who are used to untidy old run down places, but be careful what you eat!

Best place to go get a meal in Mathiston! Given that it is one of three that doesn't sound like it means much but it does! Highly recommend the salad bar and the buffet. Their salad bar is better than anywhere in the surrounding area as well.

Food was great, but service and attitude was terrible. The waitress thought her face would break if she smiled. Tossed the menus on the table not place them in front of us. Got our tea and that was the last we saw of her. Went up to the buffet I got sallisbury steak barely had any gravy on it, when I asked for gravy and some onion on it she give me a terrible look. After that all of the workers except for the cooks came and set at a table and never even looked our way. Some man's food came up and they never looked to see if it was there. After 5 min of being in the window the cook finally yelled order up, I know his food was cold. I have never been in a place that had such uncaring workers that would not smile and be friendly. If your in a good mood keep going because you will be in a bad one when you leave.

A very good value for lunch - meat, 3 generous sides, bread were all good and with drink and generous tip was $10. I had very good pulled pork, black eye peas, potato salad clearly not from a box. Reduce one star as bathroom could really use a good coding and touch up.
