I bought an antique grandmother clock 6 years ago that did not work (although it was sold "in working order"). I had a local repair shop "repair" it soon after purchase and it still did not work, so I assumed it needed to be perfectly level in order to work, which was impossible in my 100+ year old house. I finally took the top part of the clock to Vienna Watch & Clock Shop this month and Guido repaired it (thinking it was a mantel clock). I asked if it had to be level in order to work and he said no, but I was skeptical. 2 weeks later I am thrilled to hear it ring on the half hour with accurate timing! I'm so sorry I didn't bring it to Vienna Watch & Clock repair sooner!
