Our family dog suffered a traumatic injury on yesterday and after researching a place to take him PAWS was willing. The staff was so pleasant to our family from the time we walked in until we left out of the parking lot. I appreciate what you all did for my kids during this difficult time. Champ was 16 years old and lived a good life. Thanks to PAWS we will always cherish his memories.

Great place to take your animals. Highly recommend.

Owner is absolutely obnoxious. His care and treatment of my animals was sub-par. He tried to push the idea that I'd better spend thousands on one of my animals and if I didn't, I'd better euthanize her and not come back. I opted to euthanize him as my vet, chose not to euthanize my animal [still very much alive and well] and urge you to spend your money elsewhere. You can get competent vets AND good bedside manners with other practices [e.g., St Charles Animal Hospital].

Do they groom your pet?

C Warren | Oct 28, 2020

Hi Denise, call them to speak with one of the techs. They are very accommodating and happy to answer any questions or concerns so you feel comfortable. I switched from Indian Head and I'm very happy. Quality of care is a priority. Good luck :)

They do not pick up strays. You can contact animal control for your county if you need to have a stray picked up.

Hello, I was wondering if you have 24 hours service and if not where do you recommend for emergency services. Thanks

Would they be able to treat my born wild newborn bunnies?

Codi | Oct 28, 2020
Derek Parkin | Oct 28, 2020

We can absolutely evaluate your bunnies; however, I strongly recommend allowing us to get the bunnies to a certified wildlife rehabilitator as there can be legal repercussions for housing local wildlife without a license. Wild rabbits also tend to be very difficult to raise successfully and have a high mortality rate.

Can't afford to have my very old cat to sleep and every day she gets worse. Anyone know of sympathetic vet in the southern Maryland area

PAWS was the absolute best in helping us with putting our dog to sleep when he was extremely ill, you won't find a more compassionate vet to take your cat to.
