The owners of the particular condo we stayed at were WONDERFUL!! They were extremely accommodating and helpful. If it were a rating of them, it would be 5+. To enter the pool you were required to have a wrist band and a code. Not a huge deal. HOWEVER, the issue I had was that upon entering you were bombarded with owners who don’t rent questioning you as to what unit you were staying in, if you had and were wearing the wrist bands, watching to see if you were eating in the pool area, and more. It made me incredibly uncomfortable and uneasy. I felt less than welcome.

Nice private complex. A number of units are VRBO or Air B n B. Nice for a stay close to Fernandina Beach.

Other than footsteps on tve floor above us it was lovely. 3 minute walk to beach on wooded path. Well appointed and comfy

Questions & Answers

If we are staying at Amelia Landings, can we bring our own Kayaks on a small pull behind trailer?

Yes, there is designated trailer parking (uncovered) near the dumpsters.

Where is the path to the beach? Our condo owner said that it was "complicated" and suggested that we just walk along the street. But that doesn't sound very attractive in the heat of summer.

The path to the beach branches off from the exit lane across from the "guard shack". It is a straight path to the beach but it crosses a couple streets and goes behind some residences. The path has several different surfaces that you walk on ranging from gravel, sand, wood, and pavement. It is more shaded for part of the walk than the street route is. Our biggest issue was pulling the beach cart behind us on the often uneven terrain. It wasn't impossible but definitely is a work out if you have a heavy load. Overall, the toughest part of going to the beach for us was getting everything down from the third floor. I'm not sure what floor you will be on but that is something to keep in mind if you take a lot to the beach. Overall, both paths have pros and cons. Street path, smooth but longer and in the sun. Beach path, shorter, more shade, but uneven and varied terrain. Hope this helps!
