First, let me say that I awoke earlier this morning to no power.... however, in less than 30 minutes, the power has been restored. We live "way out in the country", and power outages over the past 30+ years.. are something that cannot be avoided. We have had lightning storms, hurricanes, tornadoes, and even an ice storm. Each time SVEC has been contacted...they have responded in a professional, timely fashion. We've seen work crews come out in stormy weather, cut trees off lines, and check our power lines.....all to maintain, or restore power! We remain grateful for SVEC, and the work crews that work tirelessly, so that we can enjoy power in our house. Thank you so much & Stay safe!

I established my new customer account several months prior to the arrival of our new home . Two appointments with the stake engineer, 5 months ago, to insure all trees were removed for our new power installation, and I now am being told, after our final inspection, we have to cut more trees! Firstly, why do customers have to cut 15 ft into others properties, from the street and the nearest transformer ? Who would think of such a thing? We were never told this , it's incomprehensible , in our case, we have to cut 15 ft of trees , from the closest transformer which is approximately 100 ft from the corner of our property line. It seems like SVEC is using its new customers to install power poles on county roads , which is cutting their cost . HINT: SVEC stake engineers need to explain , IN DETAIL, the work that needs to be completed , for new power installation. Each employee has their on narrative of the parameters required to meet installation criteria . Each time we requested actual trees and areas be marked, it was not done, only pointing and talking, if you expect particulars, then specifics should be provided, then there is no " gray area", disputing the conversations which took place . Schematics are not always easily interpreted by customers, therefore, not always the best option . Bottom line, we can not complete that which was not told to us . To expect us to complete the required work, 5 months after we inquired , and we have passed final inspection, is unfair. We are now paying a mortgage on a home we're unable to reside in.

Obviously we aren't going to get any nswers. This is waste of time.
I seen like 3 or 4 leaving liveoak and i dont even have power yet... *edit* just seen 13 or more aleeping in liveoak at hotels and inns in some nice ac beds.... September 15... Day 6 with no power
I saw them too. Just parked there
There is a slim possibility that they are busy... probably not though, it's not like a hurricane came through or something.
I see no truck in mayo
I seen one truck on 441 this morn but, he wasn't doing anything
Not even seeing trucks.
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by the outage. You were part of a larger outage caused by a tree that fell on a large 3-phase line. It's a little weird, but trees can fall around here, even in nice weather.
Sorry to see you go. Please call 800-447-4509 and speak with our Member Service Dept. Take care.
SVEC does not serve within the incorporated city limits of Mayo, but we do serve all of Lafayette County outside of the city limits.
Until it comes back on!😂
If you already have an account with SVEC, the co-op will extend its line up to 1,200 feet at no cost to the residential consumer. The consumer will contribute 100% of the costs associated with extending a primary line over 1,200 feet. The actual cost would be determined from a visit to the site by an SVEC staking engineer. If you do not already have an account, a deposit and other fees may be required.
They have prepaid and budget. Prepaid is a pay as you go. Put 100.00 (or however much) and it deducts daily usage until it runs low and you make another payment. Budget is an estimate of your last 12 months avg.
No ma'am. Closed 24th and 25th. Back open 26th at 8 a.m.
It came back on 30 minutes later. There was a limb on the line.
Never!!! Mrahahahahaha.... Ive been without it for a week
There litteraly power in all the neighborhoods around mine but not in mine and the one thats on the road curved to ours... Then i came to walmart where i work up here and seen a bunch like 14 trucks at the hotels sleeping
And how many if those 6 days did YOU work, Mr. Smartass? Let me add out in the Wind, Rain, and Away from your wife & family to HELP others get power while most likely your Own family at home has to borrow a generator because they too are out of power? HUH? THINK first before you shoot off your mouth because a lot of these Extra Linemen are from South GA where they lost power when we did. So they're having to wait longer because their guys are HERE helping US rather than helping their own!
Its been 6 days... I found them guys... Over 13 trucks all asleep at eocnolodge.... Holoday inn... And quality in.... Theres a bunch of them enjoying a nice ac nap and tv and relaxing
Do you notice how the "interactive outage map" never uploads? There are only 3 services on my pole. I'll be dead last. Too bad for me I'm the only full time resident. Everyone else has somewhere else to go. They left.
Yeah like i think walmart and my job and that whole mall area under f.p.l had lost power like yesterday and in 20 mins it was back up... Like its been 5 days with sve
Idk if it was SVE but i seen like 3 or 4 drive by my work leaving town out at walmart... Ive been without power for 5 days and so have like 4 big neighbourhoods that i pass every day and one my friend lives in across by publix and he said they have no power and alot of the resturants including his on that side of town... It has been 5 days they said they had like 13 crews and where bringing like 26 from out of town or state to help... Did they mean sending them out of our town and leaving us without power to help other towns or what... I would like warm food, cold drinks, entertainment, cooler air, warmer showers, to wash my cloths, to be able to have street lights on, to have any lights on, to be able to charge my phone, be able to cook, clean, and be able to stand laying in my own bed again... We depend alot on power now that Society has been built around it from home, work, money, food, cloths, travel, and entertainment... 5 days with nothing... Im in LiveOak florida
I just seen like 13 or more trucks chillin at our inns and hotels
Pretty sure they are. 6/8 transmission lines and 41/43 feeder lines were out I think. Patience is a virtue.
I live I O'Brien and haven't had power since Irma
