The Hiwassee State Park is a wonderful place to camp. I have camped here twice so far a couple of years apart. The Park Rangers have always been super friendly and helpful. The group camp sites are very spacious and clean. G7 was the site we stayed in. We had nine people in seven tents in our group. Just a short walk through the woods, via a trail, is the Hiwassee River. There were three picnic tables and a fire pit on our site. The entire area is very clean. The group sites have a row of four or six porta potties. A little way past those through the non group sites is the bath house. The bath house is heated and cooled. The staff keeps the bath house very clean. There seems to be an endless amount of hot water! I will most certainly stay here again when I am in the area.

This maybe the worst TN state park camping experience we've ever had. Bathhouse is really out dated and was not clean( would need multiple cleanings a day)or large enough to accommodate all the people in the park. Many sites were over the person limit, lots of noise from cars constantly driving through and on side road next to park. Some sites back up to a very boggy creek/pond mosquito breeding area. The site was dirty, trash in fire ring,on ground and under greasy picnic table which had a large accumulation of old trash and dirty, had obviously not been cleaned in a long time. We wouldn't recommend or visit again.

Lovely river trails, fishing spots and cozy campsites!

It's a beautiful place. The guided hike & polar plunge was fun & informative. One of my cat's fave hiking places.

Yes
Check sites, people often leave what they don't burn. Close at 4 or 5. Not sure if they sell firewood.
This particular park did not have cabins but if you go to the Tennessee State Park website you can look up parks with cabins available during your specified times. I found it to be a useful tool.
No pool. The river is wide open but no easy access from campground. You can drive to easy access pretty quickly.
The camp sites are not that large but you should be able to get 2 next to each other
