Folks, I work nights, so I sleep during the day.. When I woke up today at 6pm, I found that my Basset Hound named Lady had peed on my mattress and on the floor in my bedroom, which she never does.. The pee on the floor had a little blood in it.. I immediately knew it was probably a urinary tract infection. My usual vet, Country Doctor, was closing soon, and gave me an appointment for the next day at 4pm, but I really wanted to get Lady looked at and get meds for her ASAP.. I was considering taking her to Valley Central Pet Hospital, even though I dislike the place very much.. Very expensive, and quite a trip from my home in New Tripoli.. My wife did a Google search, and found RUSH Veterinary Urgent Care, which is in Fogelsville, only 7 miles from my house.. So, I made the phone call.. And I am SO glad I did!! A few observations from taking my beloved Basset Hound to 'Rush' - • The facility is super clean! • Vet Tech Adrienne was very polite, professional, and helped set up the examination with the doctor very well with her notations. After the doctor's examination, Adrienne came back and reviewed the medications that my Basset Hound was receiving and was very thorough in explaining the dosage and times of when the meds should be given.. • Dr. Urban was amazing! Very knowledgeable, professional, and her examination of my Basset Hound was thorough! She answered all my questions and addressed my concerns to my complete satisfaction! • Their pricing is VERY FAIR!!! A decade ago, I took my cat to the 'PET Hospital' in Fullerton with a UTI - It cost me almost $600, and all I got was an exam and a 10 day supply of antibiotics.. At RUSH, I got a full exam for my dog, a 10 day supply of antibiotics, a 10 day supply of 'anti-inflammatory' pills, and a supply of 'cranberry extract' tablets to help reduce the acidity of my dog's urine to speed the healing process.. TOTAL COST?... $201... Folks, nobody likes having to take a sick pet to the vet.. Especially 'after usual business hours'.. But I absolutely MUST say this - The great folks at RUSH Veterinary Urgent Care made a 'bad day' a WHOLE lot better with their kindness, professionalism, and total focus on helping my beloved Basset Hound get the help she needed - on a Thursday evening after my regular vet was closed.. FIVE STARS to RUSH Veterinary Urgent Care! I wish I could give a higher rating!! I highly recommend this 'Urgent Care Vet' to ALL! Peace, and God Bless!

Exactly one month ago I brought my puggle into Rush for an emergency situation on a Sunday. They gave her an x-ray and found a large tumor in her kidney. The Veterinarian (a super nice woman) still could have done blood work and charged me, but didn't once she saw the tumor. Unfortunately, the prettiest puggle princess in all of Pennsylvania had to get put down that day for her own wellbeing. EVERY woman working that day was so kind and compassionate, the Dr even sat on the floor of a private room with me and consoled both of us while she passed. Those ladies went above and beyond and I will be forever grateful for their kindness. Sarah F.

I'm visiting from New Orleans and my little Yorkie Jaxs started having bloody diarehea so took him here and they gave him fluids and medicine to help him feel better. The vet was super nice and staff were very friendily.

My regular vet was in the hospital and my kitty started to get one of her many UTI's. Rush was so nice and supportive. Got her in right away. My old girl feels so much better this morning!

They are the cheapest around. Another emergency wanted $500 for an xray and they only charged me $220. Of course any emergency visit will be costly but they by far have the best prices! I believe the initial visit is $95 where others are $120+ so definitely reasonable.
Do any vets in Allentown or Emmaus PA have websites that give career information about the professional members of the staff?
