After years of working in Hampden and walking by the Baltimore Chef Shop, my boyfriend gifted me a gift card for Christmas to finally try it out. I cannot express enough how much I LOVED this class. I took the pasta making class. The instructor was amazing, and the energy was so good. I will be feeding off this seretonin for days.

My husband and I were planning to visit Baltimore for the weekend and our flight was cancelled. I provided 36-hour notice for our class cancellation and requested the ability to reschedule. The woman who responded to me said she would have to check with the owner. The owner offered me a 50 percent credit. Not good enough. First, I thought I was signing up for a class where the owners were going to be the intructors. The website is misleading and shows a husband and wife team who give the classes, but that is not the case. They own the business and others instruct, so it seems. Second, my husband and I also own a cooking class business in Asheville, NC, but we are much more transparent and our cancellation policy allows people to reschedule with a 24-hour notice. We don't shop for our ingredients 48 hours ahead of schedule and a place that does gives me reason to pause. I would suggest looking elsewhere should you wish to take a cooking class in this area because apparently, according to their website, should you come down with COVID - no refund or reschedule. That's just crazy talk right there. It makes me think people with COVID are actually attending classes so as not to lose their money. Wow. Just wow. So to sum up - misleading, poor customer service and just bad overall small business policies. Good luck staying afloat in a world where people demand more transparency and flexibility.

Ourr daughter just completed the Around the World summer camp last week. She absolutely loved it! Chef Stephanie was fun, engaging, informative and really encouraging. She has an entirely new confidence and curiosity in the kitchen and it's all thanks to your camp. My only complaint is that I wish we had signed her up for more weeks! We're hoping to get back for a parent and me class soon. The food was deliciously tasty, authentic and so creative - I was very impressed by all that they made over the course of a week!

I booked a birthday surprise for my girlfriend in June and we had a BLAST! She loves to cook, so to be able to have professional equipment at our fingertips, as well as head chef (John? I believe) to help us out at every step. We ended up making several delicious dishes as a team with another couple. I thought I would be overwhelmed, but the head chef was always close by to give us pointers and make sure we were doing everything properly. We attended the French Provençal class, and we already can’t wait for the next one!

Do you get a certificate at the end of the class ?

Hi Timmy, Thanks for the question. We are a recreational cooking school, which means the classes are for home cooks looking to improve their culinary skills as opposed to those looking for a professional certificate. Hope this helps!

I have a pre-teen who lives to cook. Are your classes for adults only?

Hi! Our online classes are for any age. Our in-person classes, for the time being, (during the occupancy restrictions) are adults only. However, we have parent and me classes for ages 8 and up as well as summer week long camps. These will be updated in January. We hope your child will join us!
