If you’re considering Alair pleases read. Please don’t send anybody that you care about to this nursing rehab facility. It’s the absolute worst. They’re short staffed all the time & the nurses do not care. The rehab might be ok, but the patient might not survive the rest of the staff. This is a three floor facility, most patients are in wheelchairs. Alaire only has one elevator working and it’s been over six monts. My family member is paralyzed on the left side. We found him 1/2 sitting in a wheelchair & 1/2 slumped over his bed. And no nurse or aide anywhere to be found. None of the wheelchairs have a seatbelt, and they looked at me like I was crazy when I asked for one. He was probably sitting there for hours. The incompetence of the of the staff is astounding. We noticed he wasn’t looking so good so we asked the doctors to test him for a urinary tract infection. The results were inconclusive & they never ran the test again. Three weeks go by and my family member just wasn’t doing well and he kept getting worse and worse. The last day he was there he looked horrible we had to asked them to take his temperature and it was 102.6. So they sent him to the hospital. At the hospital the doctor said they didn’t know if he was going to make it or not that’s how bad the infection got. Thankfully after a week and a half in the hospital he’s now in a real rehabilitation center.
