Always good to shop at Safeway 🦉. They still carry all my favorite Safeway Select products. And terrific produce and meats. This remains one of the best Safeway stores in the bay area, for friendliness and everything.

Says 24hours but they kinda just close when they want to. Tonight was third of four visits that they did this. I was knocking on the door and at least 2 employees saw me and acted like they didn’t. Finally someone came to the door and said they’re closed because they don’t have any employees. Which is just a bold face lie, there’s at least a dozen cars here and I can see and hear the night shift.

This is literally the worst grocery store I have been to in every way. I have never just left a grocery store because they don't provide basic needs - until this one. I stopped here because it was the nearest Safeway on my way back home - big mistake. It clearly is terribly managed by whoever is in charge of this location. Products were completely bent and mangled throughout the store, if available at all. Most of the shelves were completely empty. It honestly shocked me that it was possible for a location to even be in operation still with such a low standard of quality and organization. I left this Safeway and went to one on Shattuck. Safeway, I'm not kidding, this location is in DEEPLY DIRE CONDITION.

This place is small but has the usual grocery essentials with a decent selection. However, it is certainly not a 24-7 store anymore. I haven't seen them open after midnight in years. Very frustrating especially since they keep lights etc on but doors are locked and no employees visible. Signage and phone tree still says open 24 hours but that doesn't matter if people can't enter the building.
