My husband and I went to an Open House here and it's beautiful. The atmosphere is very nice and quiet even with a restaurant inside of the complex. Our tour guide Jenna was great! She answered all of our questions and made the tour very enjoyable.

My wife and I had our wedding reception at Juniper, the restaurant inside the Vanderbilt, so we booked a hotel suite for our wedding night. We tried to check in really early at 12pm but we knew it was a long shot. However they were very accommodating and gave me a phone call as soon as the room was ready about 1.5 hours before normal check in time to let me know we could check in. The room is well appointed, with high ceilings, and was very nice and roomy and CLEAN. There is bottled water ready for you and in the fridge as well. It was quiet and we had a great night of sleep on the large, comfy bed. We have absolutely no complaints and would highly recommend staying here!

We stayed here in route to airport to check the long term suites. All were occupied so couldn’t see one. Very expensive if you just need a bed. Huge rooms. We only had time for dinner which was good but small servings and extremely pricey. Would stay only if you have time for the amenities.

Had a very unfortunate experience with the hotel suites at the Vanderbilt in Westbury. When we arrived, the young lady at the front desk was eating her hamburger fries and canned soda. The first impression was not good, nor was she welcoming in any way. The room was pretty to look at upon entry, but the door shade was broken and would not go up. Keep in mind I had to sign a 4 page document before entering our room about damages we could have made and all the monetary financial consequences. I've stayed at a lot of hotels and never had this type of documentation thrusted upon me. Quiet enjoyment was not the rule of the day at this apartment suite hotel. My wife and I had a loud clunking noise all night long and the walls between us and the suite next to us are so thin , well I'm glad they were not frisky because we would have had front row seats.....get the idea of what I mean? We had no room service (no replenished towels) and the only reason we stayed the 2nd night was because we flew up to attend a wedding and did not have time to find other accomodations. I have made my complaints 3 times to the front desk about the shades and I wonder how management will handle this situation. I wonder what kind of reasonable adjustment they will consider. When a dissatisfied customer makes a complaint, it's even more important to see how management will respond. The Vanderbilt has the iconic name that should mean quality. Stay tuned!
