Don't waste your time. They pay biweekly and during orientation Doris don't give you a definite answer. Everything is I don't know or maybe. Very rude as well, I'm glad I see that they don't care about there care givers. There are better companies out there willing and experienced in doing a good job at presentation when it comes to care giver joining there company. I was on zoom and even my parents heard how rude Doris was speaking to me then she said said " I'm being unfair to everyone else to ask personal questions" nothing about my questions was personal. Those questions I asked was 1. Do you pay weekly? 2. Do you have 7 day live in case? 3 what are some benefits your company offers? Nobody will join a company if you don't know how to sell your presentation during orientation and for god sake get some body that knows and has answers to people's questions.

I cannot say enough good things about my dad’s home health care aid, Dupe Eke from Home Care Assistance. She is as so caring, cared for my dad as if it were her own family. My dad adored Dupe. She anticipated his every need, made him smile and helped him with his PT and OT. She was terrific! I highly recommend HCA of New York and if possible, request Dupe! We tried several other home aids and services but none compared to Dupe and HCA. We were assigned a case Superviser, Carmella, who really took the time to make sure my dads needs were met. Thank you Dupe and Carmella.

(This review was written by my parents) We want to let you know what a fantastic job the Home Care Assistance aides have done for us during a very trying time. We found them to arrive well-trained in the skills needed and prepared to perform them throughout their shift. They were, without exception, instantly responsive to our calls for help and often anticipated where we might need assistance. They provided their services - so essential for us just in managing day-to-day as well as in especially difficult adjustments - capably and with gentleness, sensitivity and an unfailingly pleasant manner. We recall with special fondness and gratitude Diderot Douge, Shakia Rushmore, and Ammeeka Sparks for their exceptional work. We hope they are well compensated for their important work for your agency because they definitely earn every penny. Jack & Nancy Dwyer Amityville, NY

If you value safety, security, and reliability, yes. A quality home care agency is insured and also manages the performance and scheduling of its caregivers, handles billing and payrol, and has back-up caregivers to fill in when needed. With a private hire caregiver, you’re responsible for setting up payroll and withholding taxes, caregiver vetting and background checks, and purchasing sufficient liability insurance to cover any accidents or injuries in the home.
We follow infection mitigation best practices and safety protocols, informed by the CDC and local authorities, and provide appropriate PPE to our caregivers. The majority of our caregivers and Care Team members are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Home care is typically billed by the hour, so the cost depends on the number of care hours per week and can vary slightly by region. Most families pay out-of-pocket for their care or use long-term care insurance.
The best caregiver is an experienced professional who has the training and skills to support your loved one’s care needs. It’s also imporatnt to find a caregiver who’s extremely reliable, has back-up if necessary, and is a good fit in terms of personality and shared interests.
Home care is a supportive service provided by a professional caregiver in the home or community where a resident lives (in addition to facility supports) for peace of mind, companionship, and personal care. Caregivers can perform tasks such as running errands, preparing meals, assisting in the shower, fall prevention, and initiating brain stimulation activities to stimulate cognitive function.
