I think its absolutely ridiculous that you would write a ticket for a handicap person at the beach. Handicap parking is usually free. You need to put signs up letting people know that there is a charge. Is this little sad town that hard up for money? To pay $38 for a $5 ticket at this dirty beach is appalling. Throw your entire town in the garbage!!

Brought my family down on vacation for the second year in a row. We instantly fell in love with Gulf Shores. Tonight I reluctantly called the police on a group of 10 at our pool due to lewd behavior. The police responded within 15 minutes and broke up the ruckus going on. The guilty parties weren’t staying at the condominiums but were belligerent and loud past 1 am. The police removed them without incident and were very professional! I wanted to go down to the partiers to say something, but 10 on 1 are not good odds. Thank you to Gulf Shores PD for doing what was needed.

Pathetic Patio

I was accused of a crime that is the least misdemeanor crimes you can get. I was sober. I am a woman. I saw horrible things while my time in gulf shores city jail. The jailmen do horrible things to the inmates. Horrible. They are sexual. They do not care if an inmate needs to get hospitalization or atleast checked on. Google people dying in jail and you will find so many stories. These people that are atleast innocent before proven guilty need to have the right that an animal would have. Getting fed, toilet paper, privacy from men and inmate men when using the bathroom, getting meds that were refused during the stay that they had. Sexual talk about inmates. The f word being used over and over for no reason with a inmate that was not disobeying anything they said. Ringing the buzzer for a day or two with no attention. No shower. Nothing. When the inmate gets out the jailers covering their butts to their bosses about their behavior. When a inmate is laying asleep in a cell and jailers looking at her making sexual comments. I felt that I would be raped at any time . I was so scared. These jailers are our to get revenge. Not help or even keep someone safe. I never got a phone call for my attorney or anybody. I know my right bc I am a child of a criminal defense attorney. We have rights. You can not let an inmate die, starve, be sexually harassed, or not know their rights for days when put in a drunk tank for a crime like trespassing that was done while sober. Using the bathroom infront of mail jailers and inmates with no toilet paper is not constitututional. Women and attainees have rights.
