Prof. Rob is an amazing instructor. He is able to explain in specific detail how and why each movement is done in a certain way. A class is not just “the move of the day,” but an in-depth study of a position—spider guard, taking the back; side control; x-guard; etc—and all the different possible transitions from each position that can be achieved through proper form. He truly is a “Professor” of BJJ, and I highly recommend training with him.

Excellent school for people of different ages and skill levels. Professor Rob and Coach Vianca have set a great training environment. They roll with the students, they break down techniques in detail, and are passionate about their craft.

As a parent and also a student of ECU Queens Academy for the past 8 years, I have found this dojo to be a rigorous and challenging place while simultaneously being an environment of support and encouragement. Here, belts are earned, not given and every achievement is purely based off of the hard work and persistence you put in. The upper belts are committed to helping out and rolling with any students. Overall, this place has become part of my extended family. Couldn't ask for a better BJJ dojo that provides In depth instruction, promotes hard work, and a supportive family environment that cultivates confidence, humility, and self respect. Oss…

I have to say this is the best BJJ school I have ever been to, and I’ve been to many. As soon as you walk into the Academy you feel like you’re home, everyone is very friendly and always willing to help. Professor Rob and Coach Vianca are very knowledgeable and are very detailed when showing technique. You can tell that they love what they do. Professor Rob gives every student his person attention making sure that every student understands the technique that is being taught. What I love about this school is that the instructors have their awards all over the Academy that shows and proves there success and accomplishments in BJJ. I have been to many BJJ schools, even the ones in the Whitestone area and the instructors have never competed and are not up to date with modern Jiu Jitsu. Every time i go to ECU Queens i learn something new each time. They also have an award winning Kids/Teens program that have won many team trophies and awards at competition. If you are looking for a Jiu Jitsu school in the Whitestone area I wouldn’t look any further. I highly recommend this school to people of all skill levels and age groups. This school is 100% legit.
