Drove all the way downtown and paid for parking because website said they were open. Got up to the office only to find it was closed to the public. All we wanted was a national parks pass. Called the number on the door and guy who answered was zero help. Was not willing to make an appointment, come out to help us in issuing the pass and couldn't tell us what if any other federal agencies were open to issue the pass. Unacceptable. I understand we are in a pandemic but other government agencies are open and able to conduct business via an appointment system. At the very least they need to update their online information.

Fantastic service with a smile. Made it so simple for me to pick up an Annual Park Pass.

No. BLM land is owned by the US federal government for citizens to use. Citizens can own mineral claims on BLM land for which there is a fee due every year. You can access information on the government website Blm.gov
Saguaro cacti (and most Sonoran Desert flora) are not well adapted to fire. Chances of survival for mature plants are more likely but depend on burn intensity and duration.
Yes, you can search mining claims at mlrs.blm.gov
You can visit our State Office at 1 N. Central Ave (we do validate parking in our garage) or we also have an office in N Phoenix at 7th Ave and S of Deer Valley. Our offices around the state carry maps. https://www.blm.gov/office/arizona-state-office
Call the BLM ...for those kind of inquiries....it's free... don't be afraid....
Meeting dates are published in several places. Check our website news room https://www.blm.gov/news/arizona and our Facebook Page https://facebook.com/BLMArizona/ most of our meetings dates are announced there.
Recreational target shooting is permitted on most BLM land (as long as there are no seasonal fire restrictions) . I'd recommend downloading an app like ONX Hunt or Avenza that shows you how land ownership is divided near you. Make sure you have a backstop and pack out your target/trigger trash
