I went to 3 consultations before Dr. Weiner. Chose him and happy I did. I'm a very active athletic 46 year young woman. I had an ACL and meniscus surgery, his bedside manner was attentive and caring, and an incredibly sweet staff! I am fully recovered and I'm running again. Thank you Dr. Weiner! I'm adding to this post 5 years later, still athletic and took a really hard fall recently on my knee. No skin left but knee held up perfectly! I have a feeling for life. Thank you Dr. Weiner, thank you!

I had a torn biceps tendon that went misdiagnosed for 3 months. Dr. Weiner looked at it and knew exactly what was wrong and how to fix it. Surgery went extremely well and I ended up with way more range of motion and strength than he expected. His "bedside manner" is very good as well, you can tell he cares. I'm very grateful!! However, I have been having knee pain recently and was looking him up to make an appointment, and I just learned that he does not have his private practice any longer. It's a bummer to hear that but I know the VA is better now that have him working there. Thanks again Dr. Weiner!

As a result of an accident, I broke my ankle (3 bones) on November 30. Went to Honor Health ER where Dr. Weiner was on call Orthopedic Surgeon. He was extremely knowledgeable about my injury and explained that because of the swelling, he would not be able to operate. So I had to wait until he felt I was ready, That took place on December 12. I am now walking without assistance and I owe it all to him. He is a wonderful surgeon. You are definitely in good hands with Dr. Gary.

Questions & Answers

Dr. Wiener, I got a knee MRI at the Phoenix VA about 8 months ago for what I believe is a posterior lateral tear in the left knee. The MRI was evaluated for only meniscus, pcl & acl and they said I was fine. How can I get a second opinion from you?

I would contact the VA outpatient orthopedic clinic. As i am fairly new to the VA system, I'm not sure of the specific requirements/policies for a new consult appointment. I'm sure they would be able to advise you.

Hello sir - my wife has torn her mcl, we have the mri and all that good stuff. would like for her to see you, are you still practicing?

I am so sorry but I will no longer be in private clinical practice after 4/1/2019. I will be on staff at the local Phoenix VA Hospital thereafter. Gary Weiner MD
