Front desk staff was very pleasant although when I came in she asked me to put on a mask. I'm handicapped and had to sit down to retrieve my mask. Another person came in and instead of calling me, she let that woman go ahead of me. Once back in back, Patty did a great job. Then Dr. Gilmer came in and checked peripheral vision. During this exam(ithink), he saw something on my retina so asked if he could dilate to see better what it was. He did a great job and Dr. Gilmer is always thorough and explains what he's finding. He will check me again soon..

There is no better ophthalmologist in Florida than Dr. William Gilmer. Careful, professional, as knowledgeable as any retinal specialist. And compassionate and kind. Explains thoroughly. He does not leave the patient without hope. And employs very high tech state of the art testing. I have macular degeneration. He monitors it closely. Sent my entire elderly family to him and all my friends. There is never a cursory visit in this eye clinic. Well run office. Dr. Gilmer and Pat, his long term assistant, and staff were incredibly careful during the worst months of Covid too. He errs on the side of caution always. Thank you Dr. Gilmer, Pat and staff.

Good Morning, In our practice when a patient decides to have cataract surgery, they are referred to a doctor in the area that we work closely with. He does many surgeries and has a really great reputation. The patient will see this doctor once or twice before the surgery, then we see the patient for all of the post op visits. We would be happy to see you for an evaluation and will explain everything pertaining to your personal eyecare when we see you. Look forward to hearing from you! Pat DeLorenzo, COA
