Nice scenic area with plenty of trails to explore, although many spots of the trails are soft sand. Still recommended πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

Love the trails I take my dog here just wondering do the dump waste in the river back there I just watched a semi from contract oil and gas service company open the gate drive back there then a hour later drove back out and close the gate behind him I let my dog swim in the river on the trail I'm just hoping that company isn't dumping waste back there or is there a oil and gas company back there I don't know about nice trails tho lol

Great place to hike with your dog! Lots of diff trails to take for hiking or biking. A clear map would be helpful, but I can’t find any online or on the trails other than the basic trail names. If you get lost most trails lead back to parking lot. Be weary of snakes, we saw several cottonmouth snakes swimming (very venomous). Lots of mosquitoes obv. SO PRETTY AND FUN THOUGHπŸ¦‹β˜€οΈπŸŒΈ

There aren’t any dedicated campgrounds. The Lonestar Hiking Trail does though.

Does the preserve have closing hours
