Tod does a very thoughtful job when inspecting homes. We have used him for several purchases and he always finds something we wouldn’t have seen. We highly recommend him.

Todd is such a nice guy which makes it hard to leave this review but he missed so many visible issues that should have been obvious to a home inspector. There are large cracks in the walls, door frames, the doors don't hang straight, and the windows and jambs are crooked. There's also large amounts of visible mold on the air vents (at least 30% of the surface area on the grate). The hot water heater was also leaking gas and I've had to shut it off until I can get it replaced. He basically just goes through the house to make sure things turn on the way they're supposed to but he doesn't do anything you can't do yourself besides look at the roof and foundation. There are also some major insulation issues after he assured me the house was well insulated- I contacted Oncor and the historical energy usage is double what I was using at a house that was 400 sf larger. I really regret trusting him him to do the inspection.

This business was the best home inspection service I've ever worked with. I've bought and sold at least 10 homes in my lifetime and these guys were in another class. So friendly, thorough, and professional! After the inspection, Tod took us on a tour and showed us everything he found. He explained everything in detail and was as much a teacher to us as an inspector. I thought I knew a lot already, but Tod explained how some codes had changed in recent years and how that affects different items. He had no problem spending as much time as we wanted and was again, so nice and friendly. I'd give them 10 stars if I could and highly recommend them to everyone.

Tod was referred to us by our realtor to inspect our home prior to sale. We couldn't be more pleased with his professionalism and candor. He was very thorough and explained everything he found while giving us the confidence that we were purchasing a quality home. His feedback was invaluable to get a few small issues taken care of. We would absolutely recommend Tod to any of our friends and family and when the time comes will call on him again with our next home purchase.

Questions & Answers

Why choose to have a Professional Home Inspection?

Any offer to purchase you make should be contingent upon a professional home inspection with a satisfactory report. Do not let anyone, not your family or friends, and especially not the seller or a builder dissuade you from having the property thoroughly inspected! Not only will you sleep much better after you have moved into the home, but a professional inspection can also give you the ability to opt out of a contract on a defective house. If the contract is written contingent on an acceptable inspection, any defects in the home must be either repaired or monetarily compensated for. If you are not satisfied, you have the option to cancel the contract. If you start trying to find an inspector when you have placed an offer on a home and may not find an acceptable one to schedule it in the necessary time frame, you will only have two choices: go with an inspector that is not your first ideal choice, or run the risk of going past the deadline for the inspection.

Why do I need a home inspection?

The purchase of a home is possibly one of the largest single investments you will ever make. You should learn as much as you can about the condition of the property and the need for any major repairs before you buy, so that you can minimize unpleasant surprises and difficulties afterwards. Of course, a home inspection will also point out the positive aspects of a home, as well as the maintenance that will be necessary to keep it in good shape. After the inspection, you will have a much clearer understanding of the property you are about to purchase, and will be able to make a confident buying decision.
