Wonder if anyone of you knows the true history of the ground they are living on. I grew up on that very land that we owned for 30 years. I watched the original windmill being installed. Many of my friends worked on the farm. It was beautiful historical farmland. Until the late 1980s and early 1990s when the vicious, yes, your landowners and developers were vicious, to try and buy our properties. I do so hope you all appreciate it. The barn torn down was on the historical register but alas none of you fought that and it was torn down anyway and those I actually went to high school with allowed it to happen knowing the historical value it had. There were many many arrowheads found, there is much history there. Unfortunately buried so far down and removed when those earth movers came in to change the landscape for your houses that destroyed the very reason many may have move there. But for many probably not looking at the superficial comments about great shopping and BS such as that. I have an arial photo of when nothing was there but the farm. A special item none of you will ever have the appreciation for and it won't be shared. Funny, I am a liberal and very much believe in moving forward...but not at the expense of wiping out all the history and very reason YOU have the privilege of living there. Revolutionary soldiers fought for your freedom on this very land. Maybe instead of shopping go take a walk down the old lane we used to walk to catch the bus and the pond we swam and fished in. Think of how that became your privilege. hope you are enjoying it. I have nothing to show my children or grandchildren about where I grew up. Hope you all don't suffer that same pain now that you are safe and sound in your over 55+ community. Leaving the area was the best thing to do especially seeing the complete destruction of what used to be a nice area to raise kids. Not now.
