I have used this train station several times to travel between N.J and the 30th Street station when visiting N.J. Very convenient and it only takes about a 1.5 mins to Philly. The train is clean, good seating and the conductors are nice. This station seems pretty quiet and not to busy with people. Download the app for tickets as the ticket machine may not be working as was our case and the the guys working there say they are a problem. The station could use some updating as it looks kind of old and beat up, but it is safe. There is also plenty of parking if you need to leave your car here for the day.

It's a half mile /15 minute walk to the Starlight Motor Inn in Absecon NJ. You would be walking west along Rt. 30 highway, in the shoulder. In the opposite direction, The Crest Motel and Atlantic Shore Inn, both in Absecon are about an equal distance along Rt. 30 when walking east toward Atlantic City.
