I wouldn’t go anywhere else if you actually need an emergency dentist. This place is literally open every day of the year and they only do emergencies. I went here for the first time many years ago when I lived in the Northeast. Since I’ve lived in downtown Philly now for the past 5 years, I decided to try a closer place when I had an abscess that I knew was going to turn into an extraction. Big mistake, should’ve just gone here in the first place. Came back here last week and they were able to fix the mess that the other place left me and finish everything up right then and there. Save yourself the trouble and drive a couple extra miles to come here to Castor ave.

Needed an emergency extraction on teeth with abcess (the infection was spreading upwards and swelling my face, looked like facial cellulitus). I called at 8:10am, told me to come in now, by 8:50 I was in a chair starting the process. Great staff, and doctor worked very well with me when it came time to inject novacaine in the infected area as novacaine does not bond well when there is pus. He kept giving me shots thru the whole procedure to keep it numb. I put myself into a dangerous health situation. Once you're numb, you're good to go. I highly recommend this place for emergencies. Do not take teeth infections for granted, they are very dangerous especially in the upper jaw (can spread to brain). Statistics from the journal of endodontics found that 1 in 1000 patients hospitalized from a tooth abcess have died. I personally knew someone who died from one. Infection went to brain, causing a seizure, then death.

We couldn't recommend this place more. Warm, comforting, and caring individuals that make you feel like they are there to help. They were willing to work with us on budgeting strategies and held our hands along the way. 10/10

I made a emergency appointment for one of my tooth that was aching me badly. I had a dental appt with my dentist at a later date. I couldn't wait that long, so I went to the Philadelphia Emergency Dentist on Castor Ave. They took an Xray of the tooth Then the Dentist came in to talk to me about it. Save it or Take it out. I wanted it out. So he numbed my gums several times. Until I couldn't feel anything in that area. He made me feel very comfortable as in was in my mouth. The Dentist and his Assistant were very nice and friendly. As they were talking about life things, he had pulled my tooth out and I didn't even know it. I didn't feel a thing Very happy patient :) I would recommend his office to anyone. Thank You for relieving my painπŸ‘πŸ½
