I was sold what was said to be an “Oreck” vacuum. When the motor failed a little more than 2 years later, I took the vacuum to an Oreck store located closer to my home and was told that the model that I had purchased was NOT made by Oreck but, instead, a foreign company that had purchased the Oreck name. My only option other than paying a 160 dollar repair bill - for a vacuum that cost 299 dollars - and there was no known timeline for obtaining the needed part - was to use the vacuum as a trade-in which would bring the cost of a new Oreck vacuum to 499 dollars. At the end of the day I was sold an item that was, essentially, a knock off that was known to have defects in workmanship and was NOT made by Oreck. Bait and switch appears to be the sales model. Do not shop here.

Jim was so nice. Thought I might need a new vacuum but in 10 minutes he knew what was wrong and fixed my 15 year old Oreck! Thank you you can be sure I will return for a new one!!
