Long story short, after noticing a bed bug, I brought it to the manager's attention. I even brought one of the bugs down to the front desk to prove my claim. He tried convincing me it was a "common tick" and more or less dismissed my family and I. After being a Hilton Honors member and staying exclusively at Hilton properties for the past 5 years, I am finally abandoning this chain. It was bad enough finding bed bugs, but having the manager brush me off and offer nothing to make it right or even acknowledge my issue was the breaking point. Disappointed does not begin to describe my experience here and would advise anyone staying in Sheridan, WY to use other housing accommodations - unless you enjoy bedbugs and rude managers of course.

So an update. Last night the manager was supposed to call me back so we could figure out a way to get the numbers needed for the authorization to reimburse the $292.67 dollars taken out of my account. I never received a call back, so I called this morning, surprise surprise, no manger’s work again till Monday, so I asked for a call back from the district manager and still I have not received a call back. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel. Nobody should have to ever have to wait almost a week and fight so much just to get their own money back that HAMPTON HOTEL shouldn’t have ever taken in the first place. This is very unprofessional and inexcusable. To top it off they won’t even offer to try to fix the fact that now I have no access to the money I needed to make my power bill. Thanks a lot, I hope you feel good how horrible your service is Hampton Hotel! Oh and just a side note my payment goes up the longer it takes to get my money back needed for my power bill.

I am extremely disappointed with the level of service received at this Hampton Inn. We are traveling with a small dog and researched pet-friendly hotels before booking in Sheridan. Upon arrival we were told that they were, in fact, not pet friendly but they would allow our dog to stay for a $75 fee. The front desk was beyond rude about communicating this and there was no manager available to discuss further. We were told that we could pay the fee or stay somewhere else…at 9pm! There was no place else to stay. Upon meeting the manager in the morning, she was extremely rude and it was clear why her employees acted they way the did the night before. For a place that advertises “It makes us happy to make you happy” they fell extremely short. At least they could have been kind and not advertise pet friendly if they are not. Update: an hour after checking out the GM called to let us know that we should have known that a pet would be charged because “that’s how hotels work” even though it was not listed on their website, nor was it included in the room charge when we booked. We stayed at another hotel two nights ago where the fee was $20 so the $75 felt egregious. They showed no empathy or kindness in this situation.

Positive: Nice clean room. Friendly staff. Very comfortable, fits bed. Negative: The shower head needs replaced. It was falling apart, you couldn't adjust it at all. The refrigerator never got cold, even after all night, the drinks were not cold. We turned it to as cold as it would go.
