Unfortunately, there is no option to select a NEGATIVE Rating. So that I can post my opinion, I must give a ONE Star Rating. This evening my family and I went to the After-Hours Clinic. Unfortunately, our experience was less than professional. As our treating doctor was examining our child, we asked the doctor if she could wash her hands. The doctor did wash her hands. But it should be emphasized that she washed her hands only with water and for a 3 second duration. The doctor was visibly upset with our request. Both my wife and I were also upset but masked our disappointment. Rather than walk out of the clinic and make nonvalue added comments, we continued with the assessment of our child and promptly left. It shouldn't matter that we are in this COVID-19 environment and that we are all still required to wear masks when entering any medical care facility. This is the first time that my wife and or I have ever witnessed a member of a medical staff not washing their hands prior to conducting any examination. My wife and I have the utmost respect for the medical profession. My mother was a medical doctor, my father is a retired clinical psychologist, and many of my family members are doctors and or nurses. I have watched enough MASH episodes to understand the standard cleanliness and hygiene requirements expected prior to examining or operating on any patient. And I have had enough sports injuries and have frequented quite a few ERs to witness the same standard hand washing with hot water and soap for approximately 20 seconds. I am not in the medical profession. But I do understand professional courtesies. Tonight, we politely asked for the doctor to wash her hands prior to examining our child. Our doctor demonstrated her professional courtesy by washing her hands for 3 seconds, but without any soap. Fortunately, we have received professional care from our primary doctor and her staff. We will continue to use this after-hours clinic but only on one condition. Going forward, when we use this after-hours clinic, we will state specifically that we do not want to be seen by tonight's doctor.

My husband and I recently moved to the area and wanted to establish Dr. Ashrafian as our family doctor. Initially, everything went smoothly - appointment was easily made, staff was kind, and Dr. Ashrafian was easy to understand and talk to. However, as we furthered our desire to receive services such as bloodwork, the results thereof, and accessibility to a patient portal the office has, our calls to Dr. Ashrafian's staff were never answered and our voicemails never returned. It was not till I explained my situation to another nurse that I was able to make an appointment for bloodwork to be done, and I have yet to have my calls returned to get an appointment to discuss our results. I am saddened and disappointed. He seems like an awesome Doctor, I am sure he is, but the lack of attentiveness from the staff leaves much to be desired.

Dr. Kagwima is very thorough and takes time to listen. Refills are quick and easy. Same day appointments are always available. The nurses and front office staff are courteous and take necessary Covid precautions to ensure a safe visit for everyone.
