The people in this office are really really nice AND very helpful. Always ready to answer questions and courteous/pleasant. In person and over the phone. I just wish their policies weren't set up to extort their citizens for more tax money than their homes are worth. I say this yes, as a joke, but it feels like it. It's really unfortunate what Texas is doing to its residents especially in the DFW area. It's asinine. One of their motto is that they want to do what's fair and equitable. This is absolutely false. Their goal is to pull as much money out of people even if it means pricing people out of their homes and with WRONG appraising practices. They have given their employees some template to follow and they are machines that just follow that even if that machine is wrong since it can't view the homes and their conditions to make an objective decision. They don't care. They will stick with those templates even when something is unfair nor equitable.

Just left here.. I was nervous going in from the reviews but I dealt with all 4 clerks, Stephen, Ashley and another one but I can’t remember her name sorry and then Louise chimed in as I was leaving.. all were extremely pleasant and helpful!

No one answers the phone. If you have questions or requests who do you talk to? I live out of town and it would be a courtesy if someone would pick up the phone.

Go to the office and they can help you fill it out and will let you know if you need to bring anything else to them
You can print a non-certified copy of your deed on the Hunt County self help page at this address https://huntcountytx-web.tylerhost.net/web/search/DOCSEARCH149S1
Of course. Proof of ownership should be on file at the Hunt County Clerk's Office. Deed of Trust or Warranty Deed are commonly recorded. Call them I'm sure they can tell you the procedure to find any of those records Remember this was "FREE" advise. If all else fails hire a lawyer from a title company. They will do official title work for you since your apparently don't have a title policy in hand. Obviously I am not an attorney. I could be wrong.
I had an appraisal and looked at the property around me . The price of houses that are offered for sale that are comparable. Neighborhood houses in good shape or run down. Things of this nature. Also a site named Zillow.
You'll need to update your Homestead Application. Stop by the office and we'll be glad to help you with that.
Go into the Advanced Search tab and enter all info you have. Click on the address when the results appear. The owners will show by selecting the year of inquiry.
