Dr. Haristin, Cardiologist was wonderful. I am so impressed and am cancelling my appoints with Khanal in Lancaster. I do love Khanal but want someone local...really, where are you going to have a problem when you live in Ridgecrest? Lancaster...no.

Thank you to all the staff that took care of my daughter and helped her with delivering my grandson. Much appreciation!

Gets more and more disappointing with every interaction. Management seems to not care about the procedures going on at the hospital. Only reason they can get away with it is because the next hospital is a couple hour drive away.

Questions & Answers

what do you guys do with women’s placentas? my boyfriend said he seen the nurses take it out in a tub.. i never even seen it.. i heard you can literally clone a whole human being with stem cells from a placenta...

I believe the placenta must be donated to the Hospital by the mother. Doctors use it to treat a wide range of injury including chemical burns and corneal ulceration. Amniotic membrane is also used to treat difficult-to-heal wounds, such as burns, diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, and other wounds that do not heal properly due to the inflammatory process. You're right about the stem cells. Scientists have revealed a new avenue for harvesting stem cells -- from a woman's placenta, or more specifically the discarded placentas of healthy newborns. The study also finds there are far more stem cells in placentas than in umbilical cord blood, and they can be safely extracted for transplantation.

I have to have a fasting blood draw and lab work done, and also a C-spine X-ray done. Do I need to make an appointment for both of them or can I make an appointment for the blood draw and then just do a walk in for the X-ray?
