This is the absolute worst place to have to deal with period and I'm still dealing with them. The investigators, supervisors and the bigger supervisor are awful. They make and treat you like your guilty from start, don't answer you in timely manner, disrespectful, talk down to you, drag responding to you, absolutely don't do their jobs like their supposed to either. I specifically have called, text from investigator and up the ladder and have waited days to hear from anyone. Their jobs are to do an investigation, keep you informed, respond timely fashion and more. I've done way over with complying and providing documentation and still nothing. Safety plan and monitor is absolutely hilarious, because that's not done right either.

I made a quick decision out of the kindness of my heart to be a foster mom helping a former friend out not knowing what to expect being my first time doing any of this! My experience dealing with DCFS has not been good or what I hoped it would be; even just the whole situation left a bad taste in my mouth. Susan from the Belvidere office, has been the only person that I was able to get a hold of (out of all phone numbers given to me from her) and she was kind, helpful, & understanding of my situation/experience. This review focuses on the principle of the situation, having honesty, morals, and communication!!! Just terrible.

You can call them and they would tell you. Or they would let you know if the child has been transferred to a foster agency.
Dcfs isn't the place to call the HELP anyone. If you know for a fact that the kids aren't attending a school and are violent, call the cops.
