It's 90+ degrees out and the train station is three flights of stair below street level. You can't just turn off fully functioning elevators and escalators in the middle of the day because you don't feel like running them. I know they aren't broken because EVERY DAY they are been turned off during the heat of the day but perfectly fine and functioning in the evenings.

Blue Line. Or from South Garland Transit Station, take 428 bus to DART Blue Line at White Rock Station, then Blue Line to SMU/ Mockingbird.
Yes but the last bus is at 5:18 pm on a Sunday so you better make sure you get there early enough
