This is the wrong thing to do during the pandemic. It puts the drivers at an even greater risk. This photo is very old. It was taken way before there was a pandemic. Look up when the show was actually in town.

How much is the fare for getting on the train and where do I pay for it?

Its 2.50 for a one way trip or 5 dollar for all day pass. You can download the GoPass app to pay, pay at a kiosk located at each station or on the train itself with the train employee. Keep in mind if you wait to pay while on the train it will be 5 dollars for a one way pass.
