Smelled like urine and was difficult to find. Had to enter through a side entrance behind all the construction. Waited for an attendent for a short while. The attendent Yvonne came who was rude and greeted me with a glaring expression. As she scanned my QR code for my mailing label and as it printed she then decided to tell me after the fact I cannot use a recycled priority envelope and tells me I need to buy one. I know that isn’t the case as I’ve recycled other usps priority envelopes on a multitude of occasions. I just picked up my package for my customer and left. Will never return to this location again.

Entrance is from the alley that branches off from J street. Go in through the door on the right in this photo, then walk down the hallway and the post office is on the right. (Posting this because it took several minutes to find the entrance; hopefully this helps)

There were no customers there when I walked in. 2 tellers were available and, although the guy Louis was friendly and welcoming, he looked overwhelmed when I brought in 50 envelopes that needed to be stamped individually. They had to discuss this amongst each other instead of just starting with the process. Then the "supervisor" walked in, looked at what he was doing, and he told her what he was doing, again, which is so unnecessary as that is what they are there for. Processing mail! The supervisor-wanna-be woman just hovered around with an evil eye. And every time someone would come in and was helped by the other teller, Louis would join the conversation and waste time on processing the letters. There was more to it but it would take even longer to describe. At the end, he couldn't give out change for a $100 (my total was $77) until I asked how come they don't have change in the amount of $23? Probably realzing then it was "only" $23 they owed, not $77 🙄 Never going back there again.

Unfortunately I was ever so rudely greeted by a lady to pick up my General delivery letter I am not sure. Hopefully she was having a bad day.but her short rude "I am not helping you foot injured or not. Its 1:00.too late for you! " message to me. Was so upsetting. I have always valued and admired our postal workers.so sad

Yes it is. When changing your delivery to general delivery you must have a prior address so as to fill out the change of address form. And when receiving mail or packages, the address must only say General Delivery. No physical address of the office will be excepted as general delivery and gets sent back. So, only packages sent by the USPS are available to be received by recipients with general delivery.
Yes, as far as i know.
