A “crown replacement near me” Google search led me to Dr. Marlin - I’m beyond grateful for finding him and his crew! Dr. Marlin replaced a poorly fitted, aesthetically unpleasing crown I received years ago from someone else. His chairside manners are incredible and his expertise is evident as soon as he walks in the room. My new crown is BEAUTIFUL. It’s high quality, perfectly fitted, and blends in with the rest of my smile. A big thank you to Ziad for assisting Dr. Marlin during all my visits. Another big thank you to Felix for working alongside Dr. Marlin to create my crown in their in-house lab. The entire experience was actually fun haha. You’ll get genuine assistance from the front desk and once there, the rest of the team will give you their undivided attention.

I rarely write reviews for professional services rendered. It is my expectation that professionals should meet a very high level of qualitative standards and personal assumptions. I live in Northwest Washington, DC. I had a good degree of anxiety to find a Prosthodontist who could provide restoration for an implant that had gone array after 20 years due to an athletic injury suffered during college. I search online to locate a variety of Prosthodontists near Friendship Heights where there is a large grouping of dental practices. I met with Dr. Marlin and his staff. He explained to me the entire process which included the time frame, the series of procedures, and a tour of the facility which included the in-house lab. The implant had become loose and could not be reinserted into my mouth. After a review of the X-rays and situation, He recommended a much larger yet necessary procedure. The bone had deteriorate significantly that it would take much more extensive work. A bridge that would span across the lower part of mouth. This was a bit shocking to me. The level of comfort, the professionalism and friendliness of the entire staff and transparent communications lead me to chose Dr. Marlin. I have not regretted my decision. Dr. Marlin is 5 star Prosthodontist. Many individuals strived for perfection and many fall short because good is enough, too much time and resources has been spent on a patient, or they have too many commitments. This is not the value ethics of the Elite Prosthetic Dentistry. I was not discharged as a patient until the work on teeth had met his high standards and I was comfortable with the look and feel within my mouth. This office is filled with individuals who are happy to work there and interact with the patients. Finally, do not balked if you feel the services are a bit pricey. You get what pay for. I received much more that I pay. I recommend Dr. Marlin and his staff wholeheartedly and without hesitation!

Dr. Marlin is by far the most compassionate and knowledgeable Dentist I have encountered in my over 40 years of dental care. He quickly and expertly diagnosed my complex issue and was able to treat it. His staff also shares the same high standards and ideals of patient care, and are always such a pleasure to deal with. They all exude an unmatched level of patient care and commitment to satisfaction that I have never experienced elsewhere. I will continue to use this top notch practice for my complex dental needs for years to come.

I cannot recommend Dr. Gerald Marlin and Elite Prosthetic Dentistry more highly. For most of my adult life, Jerry has provided me with the most exquisite dental care, creatively and collaboratively solving my myriad of challenges through the years. I’ve got some rotten teeth, grind my jaw mercilessly among other things, so I did not make it easy on him, but Jerry has given me a smile which is always noticed by friends and family and jumps out in photos. His staff is flawless, his quality is top-notch, and this man really cares about providing prosthetic dentistry that will last far beyond normal expectations.

Questions & Answers

How much does it cost?

Jason Smith | Oct 28, 2019

Like any service, the cost depends upon how many teeth are being treated, the type and difficulty of the procedures, and the expertise (specialist vs general dentist) of the therapist.

How important is having an in-house laboratory with cosmetic dentistry procedures?

Gerald Marlin | Apr 30, 2022

While cosmetic dentistry procedures can certainly be performed by dentists working with a commercial laboratory, we have a distinct advantage with our custom fabricated crowns created by our own technician in our in-house laboratory working directly with you, chairside, to establish the ideal smile-with the best fitting crowns and veneers.

How long will my crowns last?

Once I am ready to have cosmetic dentistry done, how do we begin the process?

ABM Marketing | Mar 31, 2022
Gerald Marlin | Apr 30, 2022

First, we take detailed records and discuss what you are looking for. Then our in-house dental technician (see in-house laboratory) creates a “wax-up” of what your crowns or veneers will look like taking into account your smile line including the shape of your lips and your specific facial pattern. Once you approve the aesthetics, we set up your sequence of therapy.
