Stay away if you care. The secure unit is the stuff of nightmares. Uncaring staff.

Garland Nursing and Rehabilitation is a wonderful place with the nicest people. The staff are the absolute best and the administrator is down right amazing. This is the place to be.

The staff and residents here are engaged, sweet, and made my day. Also, the Covid check-in procedure was quick and easy. Great facility!

There's always this same comments..... which is true always neglect even terrible abuse. Sometimes the family ( children) don't have a choice but to have the father ..mother try and live then making it Long-term. Because of the kind of medical care they need and can't be provided of home. Trusting this facilities. Family start by been there everyday then visit start slowing down till it can be weeks sometime more an it's so sad. On the other hand they notice that family really never shows up. Sons..Daughters other family need to make there self known. That they will bring complaints as they see fit. Family need to show up unexpectedly always. You will not run into seeing dad or mom soiled..same gown or pajamas on since your last visit. It's everybody's responsibility to see things are done right for mom an dad. Taking them out and to another facility will not change anything. We as there children need to put aside our needs just a while. Make dad and mom's stay there a happy stay.
Forgive me if I seem rude I'm not. You're right! Why haven't them been reported! If you have someone living there then start you should start reporting. Keep reporting.Get with other families that are going through the same siuation.
It's been proven that bed alarms do not prevent falls. According to the state patients have the right to fall. Don't blame the staff if you as family arent there and see what the staff have to go through day in and out to take care of your family member because you can't. I get tired of hearing people say things against facilities when they have no clue what they are talking about.
