Have never liked the place, it has a very elitist feel to it and recently my mother contacted the rabbi there and after leaving three messages over a period of a month I sent the rabbi an email. The woman explained the reasons for why she didn’t get back to my mother and I’m not going to share her personal information but one reason was because she “didn’t know who she was” so in order to receive a return phone call the rabbi has to know who you are…. That just didn’t make sense to me. The fact that my mother called three times didn’t matter to that woman. It just confirms that it’s an elitist place.

We’re not members but our baby goes to the JCC daycare there, and I went to preschool there about 30 years ago. Never had a bad experience, very welcoming, even if you’re not Jewish, or Jewish but not too involved.
