I was really excited to be able to receive services from the Vet Center. Other Veterans I had spoken to recommended it and told me they were some of the best transition services a Veteran could want. I went in to the Arlington Vet Center and the receptionist were really sweet and helped me out right away. Within a week I was called for an initial screening and was told a counselor would be reaching out to me soon to schedule an appointment. That was the last I heard from them. Four weeks later I called back and was told essentially, "I'm sorry, I guess we forgot, with vacations and all" by a counselor. Well, it goes without saying that I know longer wished to seek services from this particular Vet Center. I did however agree to accept some educational material via email so that I could pick up some skills to make my transition easier. Hope that was just my experience, and the counselors are respecting and serving Veterans in a manner that is valuable to them and their continued service outside the military. Army Strong!

So many excuses. So many bs reasons for not calling or helping me. They're vets too. I guess life and death means nothing to them. Happy veterans day though

Friendly staff willing to go the extra mile to help any and all veterans. The counselors here are flexible, and walk-ins are welcome. Trust me. I wouldn't be taking the time to leave a review if they didn't deserve it.

Questions & Answers

I'm looking to move to Texas in 6 months. Is there someone at this office that could help me with finding employment and a place to live before I move? Thanks :)

Jason, the Texas Workforce Commission has counselors that help veterans find jobs.

Can y'all assist me in getting my DD214?
