Wonderful, wonderful (did I say wonderful?) doctor! Dr. Sanders really cares about your furbaby and does everything he can to help. With a daughter in college, I have a really tight budget, but when a vet visit is needed, like most dog owners, I would prob hand over all the money in my bank acct. if I needed to keep my dog healthy and happy. This past week when I visited Dr. Sanders, I knew thru research, that sometimes X-rays may be suggested as part of the exam for this issue (which would really have thrown my budget out the window). But after doing a very detailed examination, Dr. Sanders mentioned that he COULD do X-rays if I wanted him to, but after the exam he did not think X-rays were necessary at this time. Wow..if this clinic was all about $'s, this would have been a perfect, and understandable, time to recommend X-rays, even if not really needed. And it's important to know also that I have never mentioned my "tight budget" to Dr. Sanders. He was not just doing this as a "one-off" or a "favor" to a customer. Dr. Sanders is naturally a caring and honest person. He will also tell you about over-the-counter medications or natural remedies to try before advising you to buy more expensive prescription medications (which I love). I will use Chase Oaks Clinic as long as Dr. Sanders is practicing which I hope is a very long time.

I just recently moved here last year and took my two dogs to get thier annual shots in Sept 2021. Our first time experience was pleasant until after we paid and left, realized we never received any Rabies Tags/documents for our dogs. They literally gave us a receipt. I do admit, I should've said something but didn't realize til we made an appt at the groomers and they had asked for it. I just assumed Texas had different laws. But I was wrong. We paid a little over $400 for all the shots. I called the next business day after the groomer turned us away and it turns out, it wasn't the main vet who gave our dogs shots but someone different. We were appalled by the fact that someone else, not the Vet clinic Doctor, but SOMEONE ELSE gave shots to OUR dogs. We don't even know if she was certified. Even to this day, I don't even know who main vet doctor is for this location. After a week, they eventually gave us some handwritten rabies "documents" with a stamped doctors signature and the tags. Our groomers did not except our dogs appt because it was handwritten and unprofessional. I was under the assumption that the rabies documents HAD to be printed and signed by the Vet Clinic Doctor. It's safe to say, I personally won't be coming back. ** ROUTE 66 VET FORM IS A REAL RABIES FORM THIER HANDWRITTEN RABIES FORM IS A FREAKING JOKE. No groomers is gonna take a handwritten paperwork with a STAMPED DOCTORS SIGNATURE. STAMPED.

Dr. Sanders has taken care of our cats and dogs for over 40 years. My wife has also taken several stray cats to him for treatment. I would say that you couldn't find a better vet with an excellent staff.
