The facility is very well maintained. They care a lot about the animals they foster.

Very friendly group. Appreciated donations. Also made referral to me to check out a locale resale shop across the parking lot. I did and was quite pleased. M. Douglas

They are a 100% Foster based shelter. I am a volunteer at take me home pet rescue. I have been fostering kittens for 2 months. Take me home pet rescue community is really good at communication, authorizing wet visits, providing for kittens and in a timely manner. I highly encourage everyone to volunteer there and help out in any way you can because everybody there works really hard to meet the needs of rescued animals.

Can i have 1 kitten is ok mam ?
Right now they dont have puppies or kittens that young. But go onto take me home pet rescue website for all the dogs/cats they do have available.
We have Dogs for "Adoption" not for "Sale"
Check out our website - tmhpr.com and you can submit an application :)
all of the available dogs can be found on tmhpr.com. they have pictures and bios to go with each dog. Im sure you'll find one you just fall in love with.
well check out the website, if you have a dog in mind just fill out an application. Someone will contact you, and setup a meeting with you and the pet first. Then if things go well a home visit is scheduled before the adoption can be completed.
Hi Nancy! You can see our Amazon Wishlist here: http://amzn.com/w/2VKY55FVG97HT We have more information about donating on our website: https://tmhpr.com/donate/ Thanks so much :)
When surrendering a pet, we normally ask for a donation. You can submit a request here to surrender a pet: https://form.jotform.com/32610744975964
Please contact us through our website if you are inquiring about relinquishing your pet: tmhpr.com
Hi Jean! I don't believe we have any that are 8-10 years old but we do have a few adult male cats. This Saturday is our cat only adoption event from 10am -2pm if you want to stop by.
No, TMHPR is a rescue and not a shelter. So you would need to call animal control to come pick up a dog or cat.
If you go to their website, https://tmhpr.com/ in the menu, (looks like 3 stacked horizontal lines), under, "contract" you will see a button that says, "surrender and intake requests." That's how you will find the information you're looking for.
Hi Sheryl, we do intake dogs when we have fosters and resources available. You can submit a surrender/intake request on our website here: https://tmhpr.com/contact/ With that said, normally with food aggression training is key and would be necessary even if the pet was rehomed. As Allison mentioned in her answer, crate training can certainly help and is often a part of training when it comes to food aggression. So you may be able to find a trainer to assist you with this if you're interested in giving this dog a chance. Some trainers will give you a discount if the pet was adopted so you may want to call around and see what your options are before rehoming. Best of luck.
Hi Kathy, we recommend reaching out to animal control in your City/County so that they can assist with this and help you crack down on the dumping if possible. Sometimes we may have room to take pets in, we would just need you to contact us via the contact form on our website for intake requests: https://tmhpr.com That way our intake team can take a look at the request and go from there.
Hi, I haven't come across any Munchkin cats or kittens in my 10+ years rescuing dogs and cats. We typically get siamese cats, domestic short/medium/long haired cats, and maybe some others that take after certain breeds but most are mixed. We focus on matching the right personality to the right home. Good luck in your search :)
Sometimes we do have dogs that may be hypoallergenic due to their breed(s). It just depends on which animals are in need of rescue and come into our organization.
Looking for a dog
No. Try North Texas Rabbit Sanctuary in Garland
