My time at the monastery was all I had hoped for and more. So peaceful… a wonderful place to reflect and just be. I will definitely return for a longer stay.

There really are no words to describe the peace and beauty of this place and the palpable current of love and compassion everywhere at this abbey. I spent 6 days here. I arrived broken and in need of healing. I emerged peaceful and fortified. My respect for these Benedictine folks deepened during my visit. I'm not Catholic and yet I found so much peace and healing from Abbot Aidan, Oblate Sister Scholoastica, Brother Chris and all of the people who worship and work and volunteer there. If you need peace and quiet and love, this is the place to find it. If I could give Our Lady of Guadalupe Abbey in Pecos 100 stars I would! Thank you lovely humans. I hope to see you soon.

While I'm sure this is a Holy place for religious reasons it's Holy to me for the wonderful nature and trails it is home to.

This is a beautiful monastery. If you happen to be the only one, or one of two people here, you have the pleasure of eating with the monks in silence, and it's a very unique and wonderful experience. A very loving and welcoming community

I just got back from a retreat at monastery. It was amazing. You just hgv ave to call them up tell them what you want. God bless you folks.
you can request a spiritual director and book a room for whatever length of time you would like to meet with him/her. You cannot just join the community of monks and sisters without a long process of discernment chosen and approved by the abbot.
