Our family loves this quiet little neighborhood park. There are 2 shelters with picnic tables which is nice during the hotter weather. The park itself has lots of trees around which provides a cooler area in general. There are 2 decent size playgrounds plus some smaller things for young toddlers. The park never seems to be crowded or busy which is a nice change from many of the larger city parks. There is another small park very close to this one (Granite Park), but we always choose Ensenada Park when sticking close to home. I recommend this park if you're looking for a quieter, more relaxing day with your kid(s) at the park. One downside is the lack of restrooms however.

I love to take my pups there during the the times the children aren't there so they can play. It's a great place for your kids too.

This is a small to medium sized park with a medium sized basin. Compared to other basin parks it might be the best. That is due to a lot of non-basin lawn areas and many beautiful trees plus two ramadas with grills. The medium sized sand playground is good. You can see every thing has been used. Not abused, just been a source for enjoyment for a long time. Playground has very little overhead sun protection but a lot of nearby trees. In the areas that have very good trees the city might someday consider more benches beneath trees and perhaps an additional picnic table or two. Playground is safe distance from road which appears to be lightly traveled. Grass is excellent throughout the park No litter. A water fountain and on street parking. No handicapped parking spots and no wheel chair access. With all the tree shade it probably can be enjoyable even in daytime. No restrooms.

Questions & Answers

Is there an off leash area for pups here?

Well not really because it's a kids park as well but when there are no children I let my guys off leash as long as it's safe for them and everyone that may be there. My guys are little and pose no threat to anyone so I don't worry so much about them but I do keep an eye out for other dogs that may be off leash.

Does this park have baby swings?

It's a lovely well kept park. Things are so lush and green now from the rains. Wild flowers blooming. I think it would offer a lovely back round for any pictures.
