Came to the skate park on 9/12/2022 at 8:46am only to find it closed, even though it said it was open on google. I drove over 20 minutes. The park janitor told me that it was close because it rained the day before. The park like 3 to 4 very small water puddles that wouldn’t get in the way, not to mention with AZ heat they would have evaporated with in a few minutes to an hour. If you guys are going to close the park please make sure you guys say that on your google search, or put a sign on the gate with a estimate time or something. This was very unfortunate.

Pecos Park Skate Park is very good as well as lacking in needed areas. It is medium to large and a varied in difficulty. Little graffiti. No shade and essentially almost no seating. Could use a drinking fountain that has some form of shade. While there are a number of drinking fountain on the west side of the road, all are baking in the sun. In the skate area there are empty liquid containers and some trash. No one was in the skate area in the two hours at Pecos Park 06/04/2022. The park provides a lot of parking. Strangely Phoenix City Parks are seldom rated except for the general Park. Trying to add categories to get separate ratings does not happen on Goigle Maps. There is a great deal that can be offered on specific activities. Pecos Park Pickleball is exceptional but bunched into Park reviews and very little mentioned. You have 16 terrific courts south of the cement volleyball courts. On the north side of volley ball are 8 more pickleball plus two tennis courts. The tennis are also striped with both tennis and pickle ball. In my recent two visits only tennis had very few visitors. With volleyball there is no separate listing for ratings and or reviews. I am not aware of any other park, in the greater Phoenix group of cities that has both cement as well as sand volleyball courts. That is the point. Who wants to read through a foolishly long review such as mine?? Neither the cement nor sand are particularly good. Please consider if the large Pecos Park has more feedback it might possibly improve in specific areas. That might allow the tremendous potential in the large park to slowly be developed. A person at the park actually does not know the actual number of Pickleball and Tennis Courts! In attempting to find out I saw different numbers on the Web. Did you know that Pecos Park has two locations for basketball? Courts on the east side of the road are really good but if not available there is the west side courts just south of the pool area.

Really nice park. Love seeing tennis courts. I have been looking for courts for quite sometime and now I found some. It was really nice to get out and see so many adults playing pickleball and tennis. The skate park is a nice course and plenty of skaters out there. Nice walking trail, but kinda sketchy when its nighttime. The playgrounds were nice too. There is a community pool and community center. Can't wait to get back to play.
