Yes they answer at night time there is only one parts guy running the department for parts and he also has to help the techs get there parts. Ya sucks but what can you do when your the only place that's open 24hrs

Most community colleges offer a course for commercial license. I know for a fact alvin community college does. It doesn't require any other classes. It's continuing education
You might have a wire shorting out in the DEF tank harness, check all wire connections for corrosion or damage
