If I could give this place a zero I would. Since it opened it was one of my go to places. As I Jamaican, this was the place I took friends who wanted oxtail and family members who were visiting from out of town. But no longer- last Sunday I went there and spent $20 on some food and when I got home I realized the rice had a burnt smell. I called the restaurant and complained, I was told to come back this week and talk to the manager and I would have my meal replaced. Well, today after ending a work meeting early so I could go there, I was told by the manager that all they could do was replace the rice. I was like, are you kidding me. Turns out the person I spoke to was o my the shift manager. When I queried about the lack of consistency, I was told that everyone has a bad day. As I walked out of the restaurant, I was shaking my head- this is why Costco and Amazon are growing and local black owned businesses falter- good customer service and Customer loyalty keeps you in business. I will be taking my money elsewhere from now on, you should do the same!

Best Jamaican I’ve had in a while! Oxtails and Curry Chicken served in thick spicy sauce. Half price drinks during happy hour. Ambiance with exposed brick and island music softly playing in the background.

So I decided to give Carribean Star the benefit of the doubt from last times disappointed oxtail meal. And ordered the medium version instead of the large. The only real difference between the two is a larger rice portion. Don't need to pay $3 extra for just rice alone. No matter if you're a rice lover or not. Anyways I am much satisfied with this order of oxtails and they have reinstated my trust in their quality of incredibly delicious Jamaican cuisine. As you can witness from the image they were again quite generous with their oxtail portions, the coconut rice is to die for and there is quite sufficient gravy to my liking the cabbage is also very well seasoned and tender to the bite. Not at all rubbery and bland as it was the previous time. All in all I am totally very well pleased and satisfied with my order. It is as always before the last order worth every single penny.

No, you don't have to make reservations. Just go in, order, & sit down, if seating is available.
Yea, you could order all white meat with no extra charge whether online or in the restaurant. All you need do is put the instruction when you order online.
Yes they do.
