it took me 21 mins from start to finish...you get your card right then & there. the test is super easy. i was in n out quick...i was at the very front of the line but its a very efficient process they have now.

Then, when you are ready for the test, schedule an appointment online at the link listed above. The test itself shouldn't take too long, but please study in advance, as we offer no on-site training.

Our East Las Vegas Public Health Center moved a few months ago from its previous location on Nellis Boulevard (where it was for many years) to a new, temporary location at 2950 E. Bonanza Rd. in the same building as Strong Start Academy. This new location only has an immunization clinic and our family planning clinic.

Thanks for the inquiry. At this time, we are only issuing cards to first-time Food Handler Safety Training Card holders. So you may still work without your card at this time. However, in January 2021 we will be doing renewals and replacements again. The duplicate card fee is $20, and you would not need to take the test again since it's still valid. The Food Handler Safety Training Card (Health Card) program remains suspended until further notice. Food Handlers will not be required to have their cards with them, and new employees or employees that need to renew their cards are allowed to temporarily work without cards. Birth certificates for people born in Clark County since 1973 are processed and issued at our main location at 280 S. Decatur Blvd. Birth certificates for anyone born in Clark County before 1973 or in other Nevada counties are processed through the Nevada State Office of Vital Records.

The Southern Nevada Health District does not offer TB testing for school or work requirements. There are health centers or providers in the community who will do testing.
