Caring vets and office staff. Dr. Bower has saved our dog from diabetes and Cushings. He’s a kind professional vet that has the pet’s interest at heart. There have been times that we’ve had hard conversations with him about what to do about our dogs health and he’s always been honest and helpful. He doesn’t have you do things just to make money.

The front desk staff has no empathy and is rude . I have a 13 year old male lab that will be going to heaven soon. He has been taking Gabapentin for years and now prednisone. I called for a refill and was told he must have blood work before I could get a refill. I live 30 miles from their location and work everyday. They recently closed on Saturdays, so I have to take time off work to pick him up from home, drive there and bring him back home. I managed to take the afternoon off and took him in for a $200+ in blood work. He is out of his meds and they would not sell me even 1 days worth of meds to carry him over until the blood results come back. I pray they come tomorrow, because they are now closed on Saturday. I understand policies, however policies can change depending on the situation. I love Dr. Bowers, but is front desk staff is rude and don't have empathy for you or your pet. The front desk staff never went back to ask Dr. Bowers if I could get 1 days worth of medication, she simply kept repeating "she couldn't do anything without the $200 blood test results." So disappointed and sad for my dog.

Dogs are not color blind, but they see color differently from us. We have three kinds cones in our eyes (red, green, and blue), which allow us to see the combinations of those colors. Dogs only have two kinds of cones in their eyes (blue and yellow), which allow them to see the combination of those colors. So dogs do not see as many colors as us, but they do see color.
