I'm a vegan and went in to find something to eat. I was strolling around the store like a lost puppy. Charlotte saw me and offered to make a vegan sandwich. It was amazing--fresh produce, great bread and local horseradish. She pointed out a few other vegan items in their staples as well, e.g. Louisville Vegan Jerky. Great experience and diet friendly.

The Bessler Family sold their Economy Meat Market in 2014. The establishment went through a string of owners over several years and then it got a new owner, name change and a new identity May of 2018. The same space now houses Chops, Cheese and Chives. Please come and check out our fun local products, Kombucha on draft (and many more flavours in bottles) and our specialty meats. Terry our Butcher would be happy to cut what you need to order.

Great question. We follow all CDC and local health department guidelines. We are a small community market that is never too crowded and people keep within safe distances of each other. Masks are worn by customers and employees.

HI Brucette, our apologies! We have been closed this weekend for stage two of our transformation. The construction was too much to try and stay open but it looks great!!!!
