Was sent all over the hospital, while daughter was in surgery, by staff... The hospital pharmacy was closed until 9:30, so most of my running back and forth was a big waste of time. The nurses running the surgery waiting area completely ignored me, even though I was standing directly in front of them, and had said "excuse me" a few times. They just continued to chat to one another as if I was invisible. Definitely could have and SHOULD have been a much better experience.

The pre-op room was a bit noisy due to construction, but the kindness and professionalism of ALL the staff more than made up for it! I have a fear of needles and IVs, but the nurse who worked with me did an excellent job keeping me calm!

I took my son to the ER last night. He had been running a fever of 102 to 103 most of the last day and a half and tested positive for Covid with a home test, was sweating and having a difficult time breathing. Lindsey ( I am assuming was on intake nurse) was rude Condescending and just nasty. She couldn’t understand why he was there and told him that his thermometer was broken cause he didn’t have a fever. Wouldn’t allow me to go back to a room with him, after several other patients were accompanied by someone. And was even rude about that. After she was so rude another couple told me how she had been rude to one of their elderly families. Is this behavior something they are taught in nursing school or does Memorial just teach their staff this art? I am in the health care profession myself and I don’t care how nasty a patient is you never take that out on other patients or people with them. If you can’t treat everyone with respect theit’s time to change professions. The thermometer they use does not read correctly if the person is sweating or been in an air conditioned car or just come in from the cold. I use the same one at my work and learned that a long time ago. These “professionals” really need to learn that they put on their pants on the same as EVERYONE that comes through their door.

Overall this hospital treated me really well. Came to the ER with abdominal pain, and quickly got me checked in, doing an ultrasound and a CT scan to verify appendicitis. Only problem for my visit was waiting times, which were abnormally long, and also had to wait till the evening for surgery even though I arrived there at around 2:30am. This gave me lots of anxiety.

I would call the main phone number and ask.
Call them
Probably in the stand alone building on the campus that houses the Doctors offices.
Yes they are. Due to high covid cases there's a room shortage.
No, unfortunately this campus does not.
That's what I think I heard on the news the other night.
El Paso county
No parking garage at Memo North (yet); there's one at Memo Central. North has free parking and free valet (accepts tips), but the parking lots get pretty full pretty quick most days.
Hospitals are always open 24/7 365 days a year.
No; you can walk into any hospital in town. They specifically told us such just this past December.
I do not think so.
As of right now no. They are currently constructing a Ronald McDonald house but those are for specific circumstances. Some local hotels may offer discounts to people who are here with patients. I would call the hospital and ask.
CSOG (Colodado Springs Orthopedic Group) is across the parking lot.
Yes
