**Updated Review We came back to Nicola’s to try again after a reservation snafu. The front desk was chaotic and the lead host couldn't look up to greet people (she referred to my boyfriend and me as ladies). My dirty martini with blue-cheese olives was perfect, but the server asked if I wanted a twist with a dirty martini. Do not skip the bread basket—these are specially made in house and go well with the root vegetable soup. Our server forgot to bring the bread, but she got it out quickly after we reminded her. My boyfriend’s gorgonzola and prosciutto salad was tasty, but the soup was something special. The Bolognese did not disappoint; it really is the best I have tasted. The gnocchi with truffles was delicious, but I have had better around town. I wish I could remember the name of the Pinot Grigio I had with dinner because it was crisp and complimentary to the gnocchi. Great combo. We finished dinner with the house-made tiramisu and pumpkin mousse. Tiramisu is my favorite dessert, and Nicola’s was an ultra-creamy twist on tradition. I loved it. The pumpkin mousse had a homemade ginger/gingerbread crunchy cracker thing that was out of this world. The restaurant lived up to the hype where the food is concerned.

We've been coming here for about 2 years now. Always really enjoyed the food but tonight was exceptional the service was above par like normal. Olivia did great!!

Like everyone else said in the other reviews- the bread basket is great and the potato gnocchi is excellent… but the rest of the meal was really lacking in flavor and technique. The bass we had was so dry, the pork tasted like bad Christmas ham, and the desserts are too sweet. Would not recommend for the price.

Every Monday. Come see us soon!
Monday night is $15 Bolognese
It is true that there is a surcharge for the bread. It was maybe $2.50 for two people and worth every bit of that and more. The most WONDERFUL selections of house made bread and plenty of it in the basket. It was a pleasant surprise when we opened our leftovers to find that they had also packed up the bread for us. Not sure why I was so surprised as we had paid for it but I was just really happy to have more of it the next day!
