When I comes to tires you get what you pay for. Michelin tires are my personal favorite and seem to minimal road noise.

Most of the time the hood latches are to blame on those MDX's. They have a sensor/switch on them that sense the hood and they can go bad. I'd suggest getting the car looked at first though
I would suggest not to do business with those guys or if Mc Grath would be your last option record your conversation. They will offer you every kind of warranty, but once you buy a vehicle they will not recognize you.
